Needless to say, I was so impressed with its craftsmanship that I got some coaching at a nearby quilt shop. When I signed in for the class I couldn't help but notice that under the category that read, "Please specify interest", that nearly all had signed up to learn how to sew leather.

What I found rather ironic was that the instructor used a Coach bag as our protocol. Without hesitation she says, "Does anyone know why I chose this particular bag as our goal?" When no one answered, not even myself, she started to explain in detail its history, tradition, methods and the art of art itself.

So as the lesson was wrapped up for the day. I was left with a more intense appreciation for tradition, art, fine craftsmanship and how hard and honest work produces some of the greatest things we have today. Things that are likely to live on long after I go.
