I remember back in my biker days when my husband Rodney and I would saddle up the motorcycle carriage with everything from boots to rolled up blankets and rally in the days that seemed to never end.
Coach Soho Leather Hobo on Ebay
I laugh now because I must have looked like a tramp riding recluse in the backseat decked out in my suede leather jacket complete with tassels! The motor running, all the boys standing around some off the map diner discussing the next route and rest stops and coaching the newbie's on proper "biker" nomenclature.
But gone are the days when we rode free in the wind never really knowing where we were going, what we were doing and what to expect next. Today we find ourselves cooped up at home doing "normal" everyday New York things like walking our kid to the bus stop or coaching soccer and basketball.
The other day however, Rodney rolled out his bike and we decided to take a stroll down memory lane for our 35th wedding anniversary. He is just as romantic today as he was back in our days. On the backseat instead of rolled up blankets and boots, he surprised me with a Coach Soho Leather Hobo purse; and as I slung it over my shoulder and wrapped my arms around Rodney's ever growing waistline, I couldn't help but feel as special and wonderful today as I did forty years ago. All I need now is some new furniture.
